Great Grandma Wasden

This is my Great Grandma Wasden. She is 98 years old, she will be 99 in October. Well a couple of weeks ago she found out she had a tumor in her colon, and that it was cancerous. For those of you who don't know her, her garden is her pride and joy. She has a beautiful garden and puts a lot of time into it every year. ( Yes even at this age). So all of us decided it would be fun to go over and help her with it.

It was so much fun to get together with everyone! All of Tracy and Julie's Family was there, all of Myken's family was there, and most of ours. It was a blast! Oh and Grandma got her tumor removed this week. Surgery went very well, and the doctor said she should have a couple more years!!! Way to go Grandma!

Swim, Swim, Swim

A couple of weeks ago we went swimming at our friends the Reese's pool, and Brooklyn absolutely LOVED it!

Arizona

A couple of weeks ago we went to Arizona to help our friends Matt and Whitney move. It was actually a lot of fun. We drove to Phoenix on thursday night and got there friday at about 4:00 am... way to long of a car ride... It was a lot of fun though, we really enjoyed hanging out with Matt and Whitney, and we also got to go visit Jake & Tessa! We loved it! It was a short trip but lots of fun.

Mark and Brooklyn at 4 am.... So tired!

Brooklyn's first airplane ride!

Since we drove Matt and Whitney's car down we flew home. I was really worried about taking Brooklyn on a plane so young but she did great. She slept the entire time. It was perfect!

Can't Get Enough!

I can't get enough of this little girl!!! She is so cute, she is always smiling and laughing now, I LOVE IT! (I know these pics are all pretty much the same but I had to put them all up cause I love her face)

Meet Brooklyn

(I don't know how to turn the flash off of my camera so all the pics I have she is making faces :))

Born March 15th 2010 at 11:19 pm, 7Lbs 11ounces, 20 inches.... She is perfect.

So as most of you know she was almost two weeks late. So Sunday we went to the hospital at 7 pm and then they incuced me around 9pm. At 5pm Saturday I was dialted to a 9 and the doctors said I would probably be dilated to a ten within the next hour or two. Well 5 1/2 hours passed and I was still dilated to a 9. So the doctors decided my body was to small to deliver this baby vaginally and that I needed to have a C Section. So we headed up to the OR and at 11:19 Brooklyn was born. She is already such a blessing in our lives. There were some scary points during the day where her heart wasn't doing well, and we thought we lost her, but she was a fighter and I am so glad. I don't know what we would do without her. It's amazing how much love you can have for this one little person.

Well from the second they handed her to Mark, she has been completely attached to him. Can we say major DADDY'S GIRL! She will be screaming at the top of her lungs, to the point where I have no clue what to do for her or what she wants, then Mark will come over and pick her up and she calms right down. She is actually a very alert baby. She is so curious about her surroundings, and loves looking at everything. She also smiles ALL the time. Whoever said newborns can't smile was definitely wrong. She really is such a perfect baby and we love her so much.

We are still at the hospital, so I will post more pictures when we get home.

Thank you all for your love and support! It means so much to us.

Lately

So it has been a century since I last blogged. (no surprise there) So I just thought I would give another update. Our little girl is due today, but she still isn't here. Hopefully she doesn't wait to long because I am getting really anxious!!! Mark is also getting really anxious, he just wants this little baby out of my belly! We can't wait to finally meet her.

Family and friends, you have all been so awesome in helping us get what we need for this little baby. I promise if you haven't received a thank you card yet, it is on its way. Seriously though we have been so blessed. Everyone has been so helpful in giving us books, clothes, a crib, carseat, stroller, blankets, toys, towels, diapers, a diaper genie, all the little things we would never have thought of, and great great advice. We feel so blessed, and we are so grateful our little girl will get to know and love so many amazing people. So we just wanted to say thank you to all of you, you guys are amazing and we have no idea what we would do without you!

Confession: I haven't taken any tags off of clothes yet because the Fiedler family doesn't have the best track record. And what I mean by that is two of Mark's cousins were told they were having girls, and they came out boys. So I think this baby is a girl, and I have been told by the doctor it's a girl, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Wish us LUCK!!!

Update!

Wow it has been FOREVER since my last post! So here is a list of things that have happened in our life in the past 6 months...

1. We are having a baby GIRL!!! And we are so excited. She is due March 3rd, and time is flying by. Also we need a name, so if you hear any really cute names let us know! I am starting to show and clothes are getting tight. It is so strange watching my body change like this, but it is also really exciting. She is moving a lot! And mostly when I am trying to fall asleep or relax. There are a lot of funny/random things that come with pregnancy. Every day is a new experience.

2. I have read a lot of good books lately and 3 I would recommend are:
  • The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins
  • Catching Fire also by Suzzane Collins; this is the second book in the series
(I would tell you what they were about but they sound to weird when they are explained so you just have to read them)

Seriously though you HAVE to read them! They will change your life. I loved them, however I don't recommend reading them right before bed otherwise you will have the weirdest dreams.

  • Memoirs Of A Geisha by Arthur Golden
This book is Amazing. It opened my eyes to so much. I learned so much about the Japanese culture. It is amazing how different a typical family's lifestyle is from ours. I highly recommend this book. You will learn so much from it.

3. This guy turned 25 on October 15th.

His birthday was a lot of fun. We found out we were having a girl, then we went to dinner with some friends and just had a relaxing day. He really is my best friend, and I love him so much.

4. On August 15th we had our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! I can't believe we have been married for over a year. Time seriously goes by way to fast.

5. Thanksgiving!

This year for Thanksgiving we went to Wil and Kim's house. It was a lot of fun. Everyone was there except for Heidi and Bryan, Nic and Cass, and Bryan. It was so fun to see everyone especially Jake and Tessa and their 4 kids. They live in Arizona and so we don't get to see them very often. So it was so good to see them. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays I love spending time with family and really being able to reflect on what I am thankful for. And most of all I LOVE Thanksgiving dinner!

Well that's all for now, I will try to post again soon.... Don't count on it though.
